farewell and thank you: President Corazon “Cory” Aquino

At the age of 76 our beloved President Corazon “Cory” Aquino was died with cardio respiratory arrest last August 1, 2009 @ 3:18 am in the morning in the Makati Medical Center. And it is already 6 am in the morning when I knew the news when I watch the Umagang Kayganda program of ABS-CBN. In that moment I feel shock. I cannot believe nor even imagine that the person I consider as the one who contributed a great part in the democracy we have in the Philippines today was already past away.

President Corazon “Cory” Aquino:
Thank you for being strong in the times when every one was weak and no one to turn to; from saving the Pilipino people from Marshall Law. Thank you for opening the heart of every Pilipino to be enthusiasts enough to fight for their own right from the hand of the Dictator (Pres. Marcos). Thank you for opening their eyes to seek for justice and freedom, to find out what was the truth and make them believe that in every rain they experience there’s always a rainbow after it. This means that do not give up there was still hope behind these trials. Thank you for leading the first ever bloodless 1986 EDSA revolution during the people power II (in history) who encourages and contributes incredible changes not just in our country as well as the other country in the world and its people. Well in fact this change gives them this democracy that they experience today. Democracy that gives everyone a freedom to do what they all want to do. Thank you for letting every one realized that they all have choices. It was for them to decide whether they choose to risk their life (like what Ninoy did) for the good of every one or stay innocent, deaf and apathetic for all the unjust things that happen in our society. Thank you for challenging the youth to explore their skills and talents beyond their limit and not to be contented but continue to discover and find more. Thank you for being a model, a leader and a mother to billions of Pilipino people. Thank you for giving every Pilipino a chance to live life to the fullest with love, pride and faith in God.
President Corazon Aquino as you returns to the hand of our Savior. We all said farewell. But together with these we will never ever forget that once in our life in this world we have President Corazon “Cory” Aquino a woman with dignity and incredible strength to fight what is just for the people and who stands as the legend of truth and justice (by accepting the challenge to run for snap election versus former president and dictator Pres. Marcos) not just for the sake of her husband’s death (Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino) but also for the billions of Pilipino people who believed in her own ability and capacity to lead our beloved country (the Philippines) and make a change which she really did.
We know our sympathy may not be enough for all the things she had done but even then we are thankful and proud to be a Pilipino. And where we may go, what ever we will be. We cannot deny the fact that what we have now Pres. Corazon Aquino was always a part of it.

9th SONA: SPEECH FOR ANOTHER UNDYING PROMISE

Today July 27, 2009, Our beloved Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is about to deliver another speech in recognizing herself in her time of being a president to our beloved country the Philippines in this what we called SoNa (State of the nation Address). In this 9th and last SoNa of her, Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is going to enumerate all the things that she done for the sake of her beloved Pilipino citizens. But not just that, She also take this opportunity to insert all of her undying promises which just like last year nothing would come true. In fact during her administration our country is consider as one of the poorest countries in the world. The population will continue to increase; a lot of new graduates could not find jobs that suit in their line of profession. And basically that is the reason why many of our new graduate nurses are force to fly abroad and become a caregiver just to have enough income to sustain the needs of their own family. In regards to that the problem of Pilipino’s health will be unsafe. A lot of new kind of diseases will now be in the Philippines. One of these is the pandemic A(H1N1) virus which is very risky to all the people. Well in fact some schools and universities all around the Philippines are place into 10 days quarantine period just to prevent the spread of this pandemic virus which specialist cannot find any strong medicines to fight these virus.

In her SoNa it is expected that she will proudly enumerate his achievements/ accomplishments in her leadership which most of Pilipino citizens could not see it as clear as a crystal because this people could feel any changes in their life. If I have given a change to rate the achievements/accomplishments that she has during her term. From 1 to 10 I might give her just 4 one of my basis is the continuous suffering of our co-Pilipino people in their needs of clean water especially in the Luzon part of our country. Many of them are contented to use and drink dirty water in their own made water pump not knowing where it came from just to provide their own needs as well as to their own family. Where is her promise of clean water to all the Pilipino People? Is that what she called her achievements/accomplishments which to us Pilipino citizen it is just still a promises that no hope to come true.

In her leadership, Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo being a leader what happen to Mindanao? Is there any peace happen especially in the place of Lanao. Many of our Pilipino citizens still have a miserable life could not sleep tight at night thinking that maybe terrorist come to bring aggression to their place because of these the most affected is the children. They are too young to experience all of these. Children should given freedom to play to develop their own skill and talents because children should always protected because they are the new generation. As what doctor Jose Rizal said: “ Youth is the hope of our Mother land” where is the hope is in their young age they already immune to this kind of life. Is there anything we can hope for? Is this what she promise of peaceful Mindanao?

Ateneo Blue Eagles immense lose in the elimination play offs

Every one experience the unexpected when the Ateneo blue eagle team (the defending champion) got their first lose from the UP fighting maroons in their games in Sunday’s main event game of UAAP season 72 @ Philsports Arena. It is an agonizing to the hearts of the blue eagles especially to Rabeh Al-hussaini last seasons MVP and one of the eagles captain ball to the team to lose that way. But nothing is impossible it just that the players of UP fighting maroons have great confidence to challenge the defending champion. And they did it.
During the first quarter and second quarter until the half time ends the Ateneo blue eagles’ leads for four points. But as the third quarter started the one of player of UP fighting maroons makes his three points consistent shot which leads to change the flow of the game this time. It is the UP now leads for two points. And the worst thing in the part of the eagles is that in every two points shot they have the maroons exchange it with a three points which takes them into a seven points lead until the last two minutes of the game and they win.
One of the main reasons why Ateneo lose the game from UP because of their over confidence in the game. They are not that passionate to win the game. They take it easy. Second is their not that defensive during the last quarter because UP always got their turnovers.
Their lose to UP might makes the blue eagles realize that they should not place laziness in the court cause no one can predict what might be the flow of the game and all the impossible may become possible.
